Cannibal mother in Isabela kills own baby

A mother from Ilagan, Isabela is suspected of killing her own daughter. An alleged "Cannibal Mom", 28, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly killing her 1-year-old baby.



After the police learn the crime, the cannibal mother was admitted to a mental facility to undergo medical tests and medications. According to reports, the "Cannibal mother", Carol (not her real name) was diagnosed by medical specialist with "schizophrenia", a mental disorder characterized by a disintegration of thought processes and of emotional responsiveness.

Initial reports says, the victim is with her mother in their house at the time of the incident. However, the suspect's live-in partner said that Carol was looking for a knife before he left the house.

The authorities found out that the victim's heart was missing. Police are still investigating the whole incident if carol did ate the heart of her daughter or not.

Meanwhile, the suspect was reportedly singing and requesting for food in the admitting mental facility.

Witnesses alerted the police when they saw Carol carrying a sack containing a dead body of a child outside their house. They said, the mother has full of blood on her mouth.
